Shanghai's water transportation is expected to carry 930,000 passengers during the May Day holiday.

During the May Day holiday, international cruise ships will see a peak in passenger transportation. On April 30th, Shanghai Maritime Department reported that during the May Day holiday, there are currently 38 various passenger routes in the Shanghai area, with over 1500 sailings per day, sending approximately 930,000 passengers, which is about the same as last year. Among them, the Yangshan interprovincial passenger transportation has 550 sailings, sending 105,000 passengers; Chongming Island passenger transportation sending 120,000 passengers; Huangpu River sightseeing with 572 sailings, sending 124,000 passengers; and Pudong ferry with 8,000 sailings, sending 650,000 passengers.
