Weir Group: The new sensor OV50X will start mass production in the third quarter.

Recently, executives from Weil Co., Ltd. introduced during a institutional research that the OV50X is a 50-megapixel sensor recently launched by the company. It uses a 1-inch optical format with a pixel size of 1.6 microns, designed specifically for flagship smartphones. It has the capability to shoot high dynamic range videos in a single exposure, as well as fast autofocus and high frame rates. The OV50X has been sampled and will begin mass production in the third quarter of 2025.
