Two departments have pre-allocated 40 million yuan of central natural disaster relief funds to support drought relief work.
Since the beginning of this spring, drought has been persisting in Shanxi, Guangxi, Shaanxi, and other regions, affecting the water supply for residents. On April 30th, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Emergency Management pre-allocated 40 million yuan of central natural disaster relief funds to support the 3 provinces in carrying out drought relief work, focusing on resolving difficulties in water supply for urban and rural residents. This includes purchasing or leasing emergency water storage, purification, and supply equipment, as well as organizing personnel to ensure the water supply for residents. The Ministry of Finance has instructed the relevant provincial finance departments to promptly disburse the funds to the disaster-affected areas, closely monitoring the development of the drought situation and promptly understanding the emergency rescue fund allocation and funding needs in the disaster areas, effectively ensuring the safety of residents' water supply.
