Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation issued a notice on carrying out a special action to rectify enterprise-related irregular fees by 2025, deploying strict inspections and severe punishments in key areas involving irregular fees. The notice pointed out the need to earnestly implement the requirements of this year's Government Work Report and the State Council General Office's Guidance on Establishing a Sound and Effective Long-term Supervision Mechanism for Enterprise-related Fees, adhering to a combination of long and short-term measures, addressing government departments and their subordinate units, administrative approval intermediaries, online platforms, industry associations, chambers of commerce, transportation and logistics sectors, and continuously increasing efforts in supervising enterprise-related fees through law enforcement. By conducting monitoring and early warning of enterprise-related fees, investigating and publicizing cases of illegal fees, clearing and standardizing policies and measures, and improving regulatory systems and rules, comprehensive legal supervision, credit supervision, and intelligent supervision of enterprise-related fees will be promoted. The notice emphasizes that provincial-level market regulation departments should strengthen organization and coordination, focus on key areas and issues related to enterprise-related fees in their respective regions, conduct targeted law enforcement inspections, and effectively handle cases and rectify issues in a standardized manner. The State Administration for Market Regulation will strengthen case guidance through methods such as issuing written instructions, organize targeted inspections and spot checks in a timely manner to ensure the effectiveness of the special action.
