Launch of the report "Assessment of Extreme Weather and Climate Events in China and National Adaptation Strategy by 2025"

On April 30, the China Meteorological Administration launched the preparation work for the "Assessment Report on Extreme Weather and Climate Events in China and National Adaptation by 2025." The report will comprehensively summarize and evaluate achievements in climate change adaptation and disaster risk management in recent years, analyze the new characteristics and formation mechanisms of extreme weather and climate events in China under new circumstances, propose suggestions and practical directions for future disaster risk management, enhance China's climate risk management capabilities and climate change adaptation capabilities, and provide technological support for decision-making and related actions.
