On April 30, Han Jun, Secretary of the Party Group and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, presided over a meeting of the Party Group of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, strengthening policy planning and implementation, grasping in detail the various works of agriculture and rural areas, firmly stabilizing the foundation of agriculture, rural areas, and farmers, and providing basic support for promoting economic recovery and improvement. The meeting emphasized the need to focus on stabilizing the production and supply of important agricultural products such as grain, closely monitoring and ensuring the summer grain production, further strengthening the first response mechanism to drought and disasters, timely dispatching working groups and science and technology teams to guide drought relief efforts, and making efforts to mitigate the impact of drought. We must implement stable production and increase production measures early around the key points of the three summers and strive for a bumper summer grain harvest. We must continue to address the difficulties in the dairy and beef cattle industry, regulate the production capacity of pigs reasonably, tap the consumption potential in the agricultural and rural areas, and accelerate the implementation of the "artificial intelligence +" action in the agricultural and rural areas. We must prevent and defuse hidden risks in the agricultural and rural areas, strengthen the inspection and rectification of safety risks in key areas such as fishing boats, fishing ports, and agricultural machinery, and resolutely prevent the occurrence of major and serious accidents.
