Hong Kong Monetary Authority: The Hong Kong dollar money supply M2 and M3 in March both increased by 7.7% year-on-year.

Zhongtong Finance APP learned that on April 30th, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority released the monetary statistics for March 2025. In March, both the Hong Kong dollar M2 and M3 money supply increased by 1.5% compared to the same period last year, reflecting a 7.7% increase. Seasonally adjusted Hong Kong dollar M1 money supply in March increased by 0.8% compared to the same period last year, showing a 7.0% increase, partly reflecting investment-related activities. The total amount of money supply M2 and M3 in March increased by 0.7% compared to the same period last year, with M2 and M3 both increasing by 10.8%.
