Pang Sen Macro: Hope for momentum in the French economy this year is slim

Pantheon Macroeconomic's Claus Vistesen wrote in a report that the uncertainty of tariffs will limit any significant rebound in the French economy. France's economy grew by 0.1% in the three months leading up to March, reversing the contraction at the end of last year, but showing little signs of strong momentum. According to Pantheon Macroeconomic's estimates, due to weak domestic demand and the disruptive uncertainty caused by US trade tariffs, the French economy will maintain this sluggish growth pace in the second quarter, and then stagnate for the rest of the year. However, changes in tariff policies could alter this outlook.
