The China Passenger Car Association released data showing that from April 1 to 27, the national retail sales of passenger cars reached 1.391 million units, a 10% increase compared to the same period last year, but a 10% decrease compared to the previous month. Year-to-date, a total of 6.518 million passenger cars have been sold, a 7% increase compared to the same period last year. During the same period, the national retail sales of new energy passenger cars were 728,000 units, a 24% increase compared to the same period last year, but a 10% decrease compared to the previous month. The market penetration rate of new energy vehicles in China reached 52.3%, and the year-to-date total retail sales of new energy vehicles were 3.148 million units, a 33% increase compared to the same period last year.
