The foreign ministers of the BRICS member and partner countries held a meeting in Rio de Janeiro.

On April 29, 2025, local time, the foreign ministers of the BRICS officially member countries and partner countries met in Rio de Janeiro, with Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of Foreign Affairs, in attendance. Brazilian Foreign Minister Viela presided over the meeting, where the foreign ministers and senior representatives of 19 countries discussed strengthening global cooperation in the South and adhering to multilateralism.
