The cause of the fire in the Liaoyang fire accident in Liaoning is currently under investigation, excluding the possibility of gas explosion and arson.
Currently, the public security organs have closed off the scene of the fire and lawfully controlled the operators of the accident restaurant. After investigation, the location of the fire was at the side of the entrance, with no gas pipeline inside the restaurant. Three gas cylinders at the scene were found to be intact, ruling out a gas explosion as the cause of the fire. The public security department has ruled out the possibility of arson, and the specific cause of the accident is currently under investigation, focusing on factors such as discarded cigarette butts and electrical faults. Preliminary analysis shows that due to the flammable furniture and decoration materials inside the restaurant, combined with strong outdoor winds, the fire quickly blocked the exits, making it difficult for trapped individuals to escape, leading to suffocation and death from inhaling a large amount of toxic gas in a short period of time.
