Henan: Zhengzhou Port is built to a high standard and put into operation, and the construction of ports such as Nanyang is being carried out in an orderly manner.

The Transport Department of Henan Province, in conjunction with the Provincial Development and Reform Commission and the Water Resources Department, organized the preparation of the "Revised Planning for the Layout of Inland Waterways and Ports in Henan Province" and solicited public opinions. The plan mentions that by 2030, the navigable mileage of planned waterways will reach over 2200 kilometers, with over 750 kilometers of third-class and higher waterways; led by Zhoukou Port, it will promote the quality and efficiency improvement of Xinyang Port, Luohe Port, and Pingdingshan Port, and will construct and operate Zhengzhou Port to high standards, and orderly promote the construction of ports in Nanyang, Shangqiu, and Zhumadian, with a port throughput reaching 200 million tons, preliminarily forming a modern inland waterway transportation system that is safe, smooth, environmentally friendly, intelligent, efficient, inclusive, and resilient.
