From 10 to "millions" of Robotaxis will be deployed! Musk vows to complete by the end of 2026.

Intelligence Finance APP learned that with the launch of Tesla's autopilot taxi service scheduled for June in Austin, Texas, the market is now focusing on the potential impact of this innovative business on short-term profitability and investor confidence. During the first quarter earnings call, Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed a phased expansion plan: in the initial stage, 10 to 20 Model Y robot taxis equipped with the latest version of Full Self-Driving (FSD) software will be tested, with the goal of expanding the fleet to "millions of vehicles" by the end of 2026. In order to ensure the successful launch of the service, Tesla has deployed around 300 testing operators in Austin, some of whom have already transitioned to remote monitoring positions.
