Pakistan officials warn: India may launch military strike within 24-36 hours.
Pakistan's Information Minister Attaullah Tarar stated on Wednesday that Pakistan has reliable intelligence indicating that India intends to launch a military strike against Pakistan in the next 24 to 36 hours. The tense situation between these two nuclear-armed countries is escalating, with India previously claiming that Pakistani militants were involved in an attack last week at a tourist spot in Indian-administered Kashmir that resulted in the deaths of 26 people. Pakistan has denied any involvement and called for an impartial investigation into the incident. Since the attack, India and Pakistan have taken a series of measures against each other, with India suspending the crucial Indus Water Treaty and Pakistan closing its airspace to Indian airlines. Tarar wrote on social media, "Pakistan has reliable intelligence indicating that India intends to launch a military strike against Pakistan with a false pretext in the next 24 to 36 hours." "Any aggression will be met with a firm response. India will be held fully responsible for any serious consequences in the region."
