American energy storage project manufacturers and developers say the industry will invest $100 billion over the next decade to establish a fully localized battery supply chain. However, they warn that the achievement of this goal still depends on support from Washington. The American Clean Energy Association says its members aim to reduce the industry's dependence on foreign suppliers, as currently most of America's batteries are supplied from abroad. The American Clean Energy Association says that this $100 billion investment will create 350,000 jobs, including $10-15 billion in projects under construction. Projects include Tesla's battery factory in Sparks, Nevada.
