The S&P 500 Index closed up 0.5% tentatively, with the financial sector up 1%, the materials sector up 0.9%, the technology and telecommunications sectors up 0.5%, and the energy sector down 0.4%. The Nasdaq 100 Index closed up 0.6% tentatively, with component stocks Kintetsu Electronics up 6%, Honeywell up 5.4%, Nvidia up 4.1%, MSTR up 3.3%. Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, Micron Technology, Micron Technology, Gilead Sciences, ON Semiconductor, and NXP Semiconductors all fell by up to 6.9%, while Regeneron Pharmaceuticals fell by 7.1%. The Dow closed up approximately 300 points tentatively, with Honeywell leading the way, Amgen up 2%, and Nvidia up 0.1%, while Boeing and Amazon fell 0.1%, Chevron fell 0.6%, McDonald's fell 0.7%, and UnitedHealth fell 2.4%.
