The power grid control system has not been attacked, and the reason for the power outage in Spain has not yet been disclosed.
On April 29th, local time, Eduardo Prieto, Director of Operations and Services at the Spanish National Grid, stated that based on current analysis reports, it can be ruled out that a cyber security incident was the cause of the long power outage in the country. The analysis report shows that the control system of the Spanish National Grid was not attacked. Currently, power supply in Spain has mostly returned to normal, but the government has not yet announced the cause of the prolonged power outage. On the 28th, Spain and Portugal experienced a widespread power outage, with disruptions in communication services in many areas and halts in train and metro services.
