Musk's approval rating is lower than Trump's, federal budget cuts are controversial.

The proportion of people who approve of Musk's work has remained relatively stable, at 34% two months ago. However, the survey found that Musk's popularity is still lower than that of Trump. In this survey, Trump's approval rating is 39% and his disapproval rating is 55%. After Tesla released disappointing Q1 financial results for 2025, Musk announced that he would invest more time in running the company. The survey shows that nearly 60% of people feel that President Trump's efforts to reduce the size of the federal government through layoffs have gone too far.
