The US dollar, although showing signs of a rise, still faces difficulties in achieving substantial recovery amid uncertainty surrounding US tariff policies. The optimistic sentiment towards the US possibly reaching trade agreements with other countries has slightly helped the US dollar. Portfolio adjustments triggered by end-of-month capital flows may also have a positive impact. However, Pepperstone strategist Michael Brown stated in his report that the US dollar still lacks attractiveness and the narrative of the US being an exception has become obsolete. He mentioned that the US dollar is the asset most affected by ongoing trade uncertainty.
