Spanish-Portuguese electricity basic recovery.
On April 29th, local time, the Spanish electricity company stated that over 99% of the national power supply has been restored. In Portugal, out of 6.5 million households, approximately 6.2 million have had their power restored, with still 300,000 households without power. Spanish Prime Minister Sanchez stated that the Spanish power grid has never experienced such a collapse. He pointed out that the Spanish power grid suddenly lost 15 gigawatts of power, equivalent to about 60% of Spain's power demand at that time, and all of this happened in just 5 seconds. The Portuguese Prime Minister stated that this situation is very serious and unprecedented, and the root cause may be in Spain.
