The BRICS foreign ministers' meeting was held in Rio de Janeiro.

On April 28th local time, Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the first stage meeting of the BRICS Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Rio de Janeiro. Brazilian Foreign Minister Vieira presided over the meeting, and all parties discussed the role of BRICS countries in promoting peace and security.
