Shangjie's complete vehicle production and battery matching project will settle in the Lingang New Area, with the first model set to be launched in autumn.

On April 29th, the Lingang New Area Management Committee and SAIC Group held a signing ceremony for the "Shangjie" project, marking the official establishment of the "Shangjie" whole vehicle production and battery supporting project in the Lingang New Area. At the event, the Lingang New Area Management Committee, SAIC Group, SAIC Passenger Vehicle Company, and Lingang Industrial Zone Company jointly signed the "Shangjie High-end Intelligent New Energy Vehicle Production Base Project" investment agreement; the Lingang New Area Management Committee, SAIC Times, and Lingang Fengxian Company jointly signed the "Power Battery System and Component Production Project" investment agreement. The first model of Shangjie will be launched in the fall of 2025.
