Senior statistician Zhang Peng from the Department of Social Sciences and Culture of the National Bureau of Statistics interpreted the data of cultural and related industries enterprises above a certain scale in the first quarter of 2025. In the first quarter, various regions and departments fully leveraged the synergistic effects of stock policies and increment policies, stimulating the vitality of the cultural market from multiple angles such as cultural consumption benefiting the people, optimizing cultural supply, and innovating cultural scenes, leading to stable and growing development of cultural enterprises. Driven by factors such as cost reduction and efficiency improvement, and the improvement in the production and operation of some cultural service industry sectors, the total profit of cultural enterprises above a certain scale reached 274.4 billion yuan in the first quarter, an increase of 29.1% year-on-year. The operating income profit margin was 8.09%, an increase of 1.43 percentage points compared to the same period last year. Among the industry sectors, the profit-driving effect was particularly obvious in four industries: digital content services, internet information services, internet cultural entertainment platforms, and information service terminal manufacturing and sales.
