The GDP of Shenzhen in the first quarter was 8950.49 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.2%.
On April 28, the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Statistics released that according to the unified accounting results of the GDP in Guangdong Province, the GDP of Shenzhen in the first quarter of 2025 was 895.049 billion yuan, calculated at constant prices, an increase of 5.2% year-on-year. The economic operation of Shenzhen is showing a steady and good start, and high-quality development is trending towards improvement. In the first quarter, the value added of industrial enterprises above a designated size in the whole city increased by 4.2% year-on-year, an acceleration of 1.6 percentage points from January to February. Among the major categories of industries, the value added of automobile manufacturing increased by 56.3%, general equipment manufacturing increased by 28.4%, and electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing increased by 6.8%. The production of high-tech products continued to grow rapidly, with the production of civil drones, industrial robots, 3D printing equipment, and charging pile products increasing by 48.2%, 40.1%, 38.0%, and 11.5% respectively.
