U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin has set July 4th as the target date for passing President Donald Trump's multi-trillion dollar tax cut plan, as recent polls show that voters are generally not in favor of the White House's economic actions. Mnuchin said on Monday after meeting with congressional leaders, "We hope to get the tax part done before July 4th."
