Since the beginning of this year, according to incomplete statistics, more than 20 A-share companies have disclosed announcements indicating their intention to change their securities abbreviation. The reasons for these changes are diverse, such as showcasing strategic transformation, changes in controlling shareholders, and enhancing brand image. Zhang Xinyuan, head of research at Kefangde Think Tank, believes that the change in securities abbreviations by A-share companies reflects new changes within the companies, and on the other hand, they may also hope to attract investor attention by changing the securities abbreviation.
