The US Department of Treasury imposes sanctions on ships and individuals related to the Houthi armed group.

On April 28th local time, the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control issued a statement announcing sanctions on three ships and their owners who have provided support to the Houthi armed group in Yemen. The statement mentioned that the Houthi armed group has deployed missiles, drones, and naval mines to target commercial shipping in the Red Sea. It also stated that the Houthi group has been profiting from transporting goods through ports under its control.
