Bomb explosion in northwest Pakistan kills 7, injures 17

Pakistani officials said on the 28th that a bomb explosion attack occurred in the northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of the country on that day, resulting in at least 7 deaths and 17 injuries. A homemade remote-controlled bomb was placed in the office of a peace committee leader in the South Waziristan area of the province, and the bomb was detonated, causing the building to collapse and casualties. The injured have been taken to the hospital for treatment. As there are still people trapped under the collapsed building, on-site rescue operations are still ongoing, and security forces have cordoned off the scene and begun investigating the incident. So far, no organization has claimed responsibility for the attack.
