British delivery company Deliveroo's stock price soared! Acquired by DoorDash for $3.6 billion.

Zhitong Financial APP learned that the American takeout platform DoorDash (DASH.US) announced last Friday that it plans to acquire the British takeout company Deliveroo for $3.6 billion in cash. It is reported that DoorDash's acquisition offer is 180 pence per share, a 22.8% premium to Deliveroo's closing price on the British stock market last Friday. As a result of this news, as of the time of publication, Deliveroo's stock listed in the UK surged nearly 18%, reaching its highest level since January 2022.
