Ministry of Finance: New local government bonds issued nationwide in the first quarter amounted to 1.2394 trillion yuan.

According to the Intelligence Finance APP, on April 28th, the Ministry of Finance released the situation of local government bond issuance and debt balance in March 2025. From January to March 2025, a total of 1239.4 billion yuan of new local government bonds were issued nationwide, including 279.1 billion yuan of general bonds and 960.3 billion yuan of special bonds. A total of 1602.7 billion yuan of refinancing bonds were issued nationwide, including 131.1 billion yuan of general bonds and 1471.6 billion yuan of special bonds. In total, a total of 2842.1 billion yuan of local government bonds were issued nationwide, including 410.2 billion yuan of general bonds and 2431.9 billion yuan of special bonds.
