In 10 provinces across the country, maternity subsidies are directly distributed to individuals, with an additional 660,000 universal childcare slots added.

According to the State Administration of Medical Insurance, as of now, a total of 10 provinces including Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang, and Shanghai have fully implemented the direct distribution of maternity allowances to individuals. In recent years, the medical insurance department has continued to promote the direct distribution of maternity allowances to individuals, and currently, approximately one-third of the nationwide comprehensive areas have achieved this goal.
