US side: "Very crucial" this week

According to a report by Agence France-Presse on April 27, as American President Trump pressures Moscow and Kiev to reach an agreement, Secretary of State Rubio said on the 27th that the next week's efforts to end the conflict in Ukraine could be "very crucial". The report mentioned that Trump met with Ukrainian President Zelensky during the funeral of Pope Francis on the 26th, at which point he had already shown impatience with both sides and suggested that Russian President Putin may "not want to end the war".
