Accused of taking bribes totaling more than 25.73 million yuan, Fu Guoxiang, former first-level inspector of the Liupanshui City Committee in Guizhou Province, is being tried.
On April 27, the first instance trial of the case of bribery involving Fu Guoxiang, former first-level inspector of the Liupanshui Municipal Committee in Guizhou Province, was openly held in the Intermediate People's Court of the Qiannan Bouyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Guizhou Province. The People's Procuratorate of the Qiannan Bouyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture accused that from 1999 to 2020, the defendant Fu Guoxiang took advantage of his positions as the Party Secretary of Wangjiazhai Town, Zhongshan District, Liupanshui City, member of the Standing Committee of the Zhongshan District Committee, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, member of the Standing Committee of the Pan County Committee, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, Deputy Secretary, Executive Deputy County Mayor, Secretary, Deputy Secretary of the Water City County Committee, County Mayor, member of the Liupanshui Municipal Committee, and Party Secretary of Panzhou City in providing assistance to relevant units and individuals in project contracting, land acquisition and demolition, loan guarantees, etc., illegally accepting a total of over 25.73 million yuan in bribes, some of which were not actually obtained. The procuratorial organ recommended holding Fu Guoxiang criminally responsible for the crime of bribery.
