Ministry of Commerce: Will actively cooperate with relevant departments to accelerate the implementation of the exit tax refund policy.

On April 27, the State Council Information Office held a press conference on optimizing the departure tax refund policy and expanding inbound consumption. Sheng Qiuping, Deputy Minister of Commerce, stated that the "Notice on Further Optimizing the Departure Tax Refund Policy to Expand Inbound Consumption" mainly addresses the issues of a limited number of tax refund stores, limited choices for tax refund shopping, lack of domestic products, and the need to improve the convenience of tax refunds. From promoting the increase in the number of tax refund stores, enriching the supply of tax refund goods, and improving the level of departure tax refund services, eight policy measures were proposed. In the next step, the Ministry of Commerce will actively work with relevant departments to accelerate the implementation of policies, guide the establishment of sound working mechanisms in various regions, innovate work measures, continuously improve the quality and level of departure tax refund services, and make tax refunds more convenient and shopping more satisfactory for overseas travelers.
