The first large-scale general-purpose spectroscopic telescope JUST in our country was launched and started construction in Qinghai.

It was learned from Shanghai Jiao Tong University that on April 27th, the construction kickoff meeting of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (JUST) Spectroscopic Telescope Project was held at the Cold Lake Astronomical Observation Base B Platform in Maoying City, Haixi Mongolian-Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province. This kickoff meeting signifies the official start of construction of the JUST telescope project, and once completed, it will mark a breakthrough in the development of large-scale domestic spectroscopic telescopes, adding a new tool to astronomical observations in China.
