According to the Securities Times APP, on April 27th, the Civil Aviation Administration held a press conference to introduce the safety production situation of civil aviation in the first quarter and March, as well as the arrangements for civil aviation transportation guarantee during the "May Day" holiday. Shang Kejia, Deputy Director of the Transport Department of the Civil Aviation Administration, introduced at the meeting that in the first quarter of this year, the international route network continued to expand, and the number of international flights and passengers further increased. So far, a total of 28 Chinese airlines and 100 foreign airlines operate international passenger routes in China. A total of 78 countries are connected, an increase of 4 countries compared to 2019. In addition, this year's "May Day" holiday lasts for a total of 5 days. According to predictions, the number of civil aviation passenger transport during the holiday is expected to be about 10.75 million, with an average of 2.15 million per day, an increase of 8% compared to 2024, reaching a historical high for the same period. The peak passenger flow on the first and last days of the holiday is expected to exceed 2.3 million people.
