Meituan: "Being permanently banned from receiving orders due to using dual apps or JD software" is a malicious rumor created through photo manipulation.

On April 27th, Meituan issued a statement clarifying the rumor that "running orders on other platforms will result in permanent account suspension on Meituan." However, despite this clarification, there were still rumors circulating on social media platforms showing images of the delivery rider app displaying "permanent suspension of orders due to the use of cheating software or JD apps." Upon investigation, it was found that the image originated from a normal prompt page on the platform for banning unauthorized order grabbing. Some internet users in Guangdong maliciously edited the image, and a very small number of users spread it in WeChat groups. The company has now collected evidence regarding the spread of rumors and will take legal action to protect its rights. The company will also increase efforts to gather evidence and crack down on fake accounts and individuals behind the false information.
