In 2024, the quantity and quality of patent creation in Zhejiang province will rise simultaneously, with private enterprises becoming the main force.

According to the Zhejiang Provincial Market Supervision Bureau's announcement on the 26th, the newly released "2024 Zhejiang Province Top 100 Patent Creation Enterprise List" shows that the top 100 enterprises have a comprehensive patent creation index of 116.2, an increase of 16.2 from the previous year, indicating a steady improvement in Zhejiang's overall innovation strength. Among them, private enterprises occupy 58 seats on the list, still the main force in patent creation. The data shows that in 2024, the average number of effective invention patents for the top 100 enterprises in Zhejiang reached 598.8, an increase of 103.7 from the previous year, with a growth rate of 20.9%; the average number of granted invention patents in the past three years was 339.9, an increase of 15.6% compared to the previous year; the average number of PCT international patents in the past three years was 45.4, an increase of 11.2%, accounting for one-third of the total application volume in Zhejiang Province; the proportion of high-value invention patents to total effective invention patents reached 49.2%.
