A US company has sued the US government for a sudden 40-fold increase in tariffs.
How absurd are the tariffs imposed by the U.S. government? Rick Waldenberger, CEO of a puzzle toy company called "Teaching Resources," said his company may pay $100 million in tariffs this year, an increase of nearly 44 times. Over the past decade, the company has tried to produce locally multiple times, but all failed. He believes that the introduction of these tariff policies lacks "adequate authorization," and his company has already sued the U.S. government for this.
