On Friday, during the closing session in New York, spot gold fell by 0.99% to $3316.17 per ounce, with a cumulative decrease of 0.30% for the week. After reaching a historical high of 3500.10 points during the Asia-Pacific midday session on Tuesday, it retreated and fluctuated between $3349 and $3259 from Wednesday to Friday. COMEX gold futures dropped by 0.65% to $3326.70 per ounce, with a cumulative decrease of 0.10% for the week. The Asia-Pacific midday session on Tuesday also saw a rise to a record high of $3509.90 per ounce during the trading session. The Philadelphia Gold and Silver Index declined by 1.79% to 186.00 points, with a cumulative decrease of 2.87% for the week.
