During a visit to Oklahoma, U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright attempted to appease oil companies by stating that the turmoil caused by President Donald Trump's trade war may be temporary and that the government fully supports increasing crude oil production. "The uncertainty you see about tariffs - this is a short-term issue," Wright said in an interview during an energy conference in Oklahoma City. He later added, "We are making every effort to encourage production."
