Meituan's Wei Wei: Will release AI assistant acceleration list going overseas.

On April 25, 2025, the Black Pearl Restaurant Guide Awards Ceremony for Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and overseas regions was held at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. Wei Wei, Vice President of Meituan and General Manager of the On-site Catering Business Unit, stated that in the future, the platform will launch an AI Agent that serves the local lifestyle of eating, drinking, playing, and entertainment, linking global users and merchants through AI, providing personalized services such as cross-border trip planning and intelligent restaurant reservations for consumers. At the same time, with the deepening globalization of the platform and the increasing trend of catering companies going global, the products on the list are also accelerating towards internationalization. Currently, the services of Meituan and Dianping cover more than 170 countries overseas and businesses in nearly 1000 cities.
