On April 23, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs held a symposium on the quality and safety supervision of agricultural products directly supplied to schools in Kunming, Yunnan, to deploy and strengthen the quality and safety guarantee of agricultural products directly supplied to schools in the next stage. Vice Minister Ma Erdan Muge from the Party Group of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The meeting emphasized that food safety on campus is related to the health of young people, which the Party Central Committee pays special attention to and society highly concerns. Since campus food comes from agricultural products, the agricultural and rural departments must ensure the quality and safety of agricultural products from the source, especially focusing on ensuring the quality and safety of agricultural products directly supplied to schools. It is necessary to fully recognize that this is a highly political, popular, and responsible job that must be implemented with a strict attitude and practical measures. The meeting required ensuring that 100% of the agricultural products directly supplied to schools are qualified. It is necessary to implement work responsibilities, continue to focus, and not relax; for production entities with high hidden risks, timely report relevant information to the education department, exclude those that do not act as direct suppliers but are already on the list; timely update the list of planting and breeding entities supplying agricultural products directly to schools, inspect direct supply bases at least once a week, and test each batch of direct supply products quickly; cooperate closely with education and market supervision departments to form a joint force.
