Hong Kong Insurance Authority: Total gross premiums of 637.8 billion Hong Kong dollars in 2024, with new business annual premiums for long-term business increasing by 21.4% year-on-year.

According to the Wise Wealth News app, the Insurance Authority of Hong Kong announced the preliminary statistical figures for 2024 on April 25th. The total gross premiums reached 637.8 billion Hong Kong dollars in the period. The new policy premiums for long-term business (excluding retirement plan business) amounted to 219.8 billion, an increase of 21.4% year-on-year, mainly including 208.1 billion in non-linked personal business, up 22.8%, which can be further divided into 182.4 billion in dividend business and 25.7 billion in other business; and 11.2 billion from linked personal business.
