The EU announced the extension of sanctions against individuals and entities in Myanmar.

On April 25th local time, the European Council announced that sanctions against Myanmar have been extended for a year until April 30, 2026. Currently, the EU's sanctions against Myanmar apply to a total of 106 individuals and 22 entities. The sanctions include asset freezes, travel bans, and export bans.
