The non-compliance rate has decreased by 0.81%, and the overall use of national legal measurement units continues to improve.
Today, journalists learned that the State Administration for Market Regulation has released the results of the supervision and inspection of the use of measurement units in 2024. A total of 33,652 units were inspected nationwide, with a total of 522,555 products inspected. There were 8,910 non-compliant products, accounting for 1.71% of the total. Compared to 2023, the total number of products inspected doubled, and the non-compliance rate decreased by 0.81 percentage points. The supervision and inspection mainly covered three major areas: cultural education, market transactions, and propaganda and advertising. The Law of the People's Republic of China on Metrology stipulates that "the state implements a legal measurement unit system." The standardized use of measurement units is the basis for the normal operation of modern society, permeating all aspects of scientific research, economic development, social management, and daily life. In recent years, the State Administration for Market Regulation has taken a series of measures to regulate the use of measurement units, enhancing public awareness and importance of the state's legal measurement units, and effectively promoting the continuous improvement of the use of measurement units in China.
