Ten departments: By 2035, pure electric vehicles will become the mainstream of new vehicle sales.

The Ministry of Transportation and nine other departments have issued guidelines on promoting the integration of transportation and energy development. The guidelines point out that by 2035, efforts will be made to comprehensively integrate and interact transportation and new energy systems, establish a transportation energy system focusing on clean and low-carbon energy consumption, with technological innovation as the key support, and green, smart, and efficient transportation as the direction. The proportion of electric energy in the transportation industry's final energy consumption will remain high, with green electricity generated from transportation infrastructure being mainly used locally. Pure electric vehicles will become the mainstream of new vehicle sales, large-scale application of new energy commercial vehicles, and the basic completion of transportation and energy supply system.
