The State Council has approved the establishment of cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones in Hainan Island, Qinhuangdao, and 15 other cities or regions.

The Zhixin Finance APP obtained approval on April 25 from the State Council for the establishment of 15 comprehensive pilot zones for cross-border e-commerce in Hainan Island, Qinhuangdao, and other cities (regions). It was pointed out that the establishment of cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones in Hainan Island, as well as in cities such as Qinhuangdao, Baoding, Erlanhot, Dandong, Chuzhou, Sanming, Kaifeng, Xinxiang, Ezhou, Shaoyang, Wuzhou, Beihai, Fangchenggang, Guangan, and Bortala Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, is approved. These zones will be named after the respective cities or regions with the addition of "China Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone". The specific implementation plans will be issued by the provincial governments where these zones are located. At the same time, the pilot zones for cross-border e-commerce established in Haikou, Sanya, and Alashankou will be revoked.
