Continuous strengthening of green energy supply, China's installed wind power capacity has historically surpassed thermal power.
The National Energy Administration released data today showing that in the first quarter of this year, China's newly installed wind and photovoltaic power capacity totaled 74.33 GW, with a cumulative installed capacity reaching 1.482 billion kW, surpassing thermal power capacity for the first time. Since the beginning of this year, the proportion of coal-fired power capacity in China has continued to decline. By the end of March, the proportion of coal-fired power capacity in the total installed capacity of power generation was 34.9%, a decrease of 4.1 percentage points compared to the same period last year.
