Hangzhou enterprise female employees' maternity allowance will be directly deposited into their individual accounts starting from May 1st.

In order to better protect the rights and interests of female employees during maternity leave, Hangzhou Medical Insurance has further optimized the distribution process based on the existing maternity allowance "worry-free" system. Starting from May 1, 2025, all types of enterprises, private non-enterprises, individual industrial and commercial households, and other employers with employees participating in the Hangzhou employee basic medical insurance, who meet the conditions for receiving maternity allowance, can apply through the insured person or the handling person of the employer, and after approval by the medical insurance handling agency, the maternity allowance will be paid to the insured person's bank account. Employers and insured persons who apply for maternity allowance before May 1, 2025, will have the maternity allowance paid to the employer's bank account by the medical insurance handling agency through the original channels.
